I wanted to execute some cuda code and I received the number 30 error code (which means unknown error) for each CUDA function call, so I wanted to reinstall the GPU driver and the CUDA SDK. The installation of the SDK went ok, but my program still didn’t work. When I tried to reinstall the driver, I’ve got the exact same problem :

I’m on Ubuntu 14.04 and I’m using a GTX580 ;)
Can someone please tell us how we can fix this issue and use our products ?
I “resolved” the problem. I did nothing, the driver is properly installed, the error is there only to make you think that something went wrong, but everything is running smoothly. That’s however sad that each time I have to work with NVIDIA, there is some bullshit like this happening, really not professional…
