GPU:NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2GB of GDDR5 memory and automatic graphics switching
CUDA Driver Version: 8.0.71
mac pro 2014 mid 15inch
MACOS 10.12.3 (16D32)
is there anyone the same

I’m having the same issue with 8.0.71 Cuda Driver on 15in MacBook Pro Retina 2015 on OS 10.11.6.

If this message appears in the installation of the CUDA toolkit, it is expected, and not an actual error:

@glennonwright,

It does not seem that your specific 15in MacBook Pro Retina 2015 actually HAS an NVIDIA card, in which case, the error message would be correct. I searched for that description on Google and could not find a reference to a model w/ NVIDIA graphics…

The same issue with driver 8.0.83 on Mac OS 10.12.5 with GTX 1080.
My GPU device was working perfectly until I got a message from NVIDIA saying that a new version of the driver is available. I have upgraded, and then my GPU is not recognizable anymore.

Sounds like your solution would be to downgrade the driver. Here’s a list of MAC drivers from an external site:
http://www.macvidcards.com/drivers.html

I tried to roll back the driver update, but it did not help. I had an upgrade for OS from 10.12.4 to 10.12.5, and an update for the driver at the same time. I suspect that the problem is in OS upgrade: nVidia Web Driver users: DO NOT update to Sierra 10.12.5 | MacRumors Forums

my old HD was on an IMAC, now i got a mac pro and i’m afraid i’ll have to return since the CADU does not see the GPU
I noticed many people are rolling back the driver… should I do that ?
I can’t even see well what i’m writing because of this problem
thanks for any help…

Probably you need to install NVIDIAEGPUSupport: https://egpu.io/forums/mac-setup/wip-nvidia-egpu-support-for-high-sierra/paged/1/

i just switched from DVI-I cable to HDMI and suddenly all started to work just fine.
So, i guess you should look for alternative connection
