1080ti (drivers 378.13) + cuda 8.0 installation in Ubuntu 16.04.02

Hi,
From latest download, the cuda installation file ‘cuda_8.0.61_375.26_linux.run’ support only up to 375.26 while 1080ti requires 378.13. What is the correct procedure to install cuda 8.0. I am using Ubuntu 16.04.02. This is not clearly elaborated in the latest installation documentation.

Install latest NVIDIA driver if not already installed, then install CUDA toolkit without installing its enclosed driver.
