CUDA deviceQuery and Bandwidth Test on Tx2 are weird

Actually, the memory clock rate 13Mhz ,the Memory Bus Width:64 and Device to Device Bandwidth that is not good as it claimed are weird. Something is not right.Who else encounter this problem?

Hi,

This is a known issue and already fixed in Rel-28.1.
Please reflash your device with JetPack3.1.

Thanks.

How about the memory bandwidth? It seems not as good as it claimed to be 59.7MB/s

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.
We are checking this bandwidth issue. Will update information to you later.

Thanks.

Hi AastaLLL,

Have you found a solution to the bandwidth problem?

thanks

Hi,

We are still checking this issue.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi AastaLLL,

We care enough about the problem that conducted bandwidth test to determine whether TX2 would meet our needs, so we want to know if the problem disappears soon.

thanks

Hi cloundliu,

Thanks for your patience.

We are checking this issue, will update information to you once we have a conclusion.
Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi AsataLLL,

Have you found a solution to the bandwidth problem?

thanks.

Hi,

Sorry for the late response.
The best bandwidth result we can get is 35 GB/s. (device to device)

Reason for the discrepancy between CUDA bandwidthTest is that the GPU doesn’t retain 100% of the bandwidth.
The memory controller has an arbiter which allows other cores like CPUs, USB/PCIe root complex … access to the memory also.

Thanks.
