Can't boot built kernel (is documentation wrong?)

Hi,

When following the documentation on building the kernel from here:
https://docs.nvidia.com/drive/nvvib_docs/index.html#page/NVIDIA%2520Vibrante%2520Linux%2520DPX%2520Development%2520Guide%2FSystem%2520Programming%2Fsys_programming_kernel_toolchain.html%23

The kernel is NOT used after reboot!
When doing uname -a, shown date of kernel tells that the OLD kernel is used.

The documentations states:

Some questions on that:

  • It's told to copy the kernel image to "top directory" but command says "/vibrante-t186ref-linux/kernel-rt_patches".
  • Documentation tells to backup the default kernel. But I can't find any kernel image on the board!
  • Using PX2 and Linux SDK 4.1 for DRIVE PX 2

    Dear hasax,

Could you please let us know your build step in detail?
I think you already downloaded 4.1.8.0 Linux SDK via DriveInstall so the kernel image is in host pc not DPX2 board. Thanks.
