Many thx,

Hi,

I was not able to reproduce that issue.

Do you have to do anything special in game to trigger those Xids?

Hi,

i don’t have to do anything special. I switched the graphics to ultra and swtiched from opengl to vulkan and immediately face the issue.

Any kind of output which could be useful ?

Many thanks !
Christian

If it doesn’t crash instantly for you, play the game and you should see the issue for sure.

Other than some visual bugs it works for mee 2
Though Gsync was not working for me there.

CommanderAlchemy:

Which driver version and card do you use ?

It happend for me very early in the game when after running around the streets you enter the first bigger building…

And in addition, does the version of libvulkan has any impact (iirc i installeda vulkan package via opensuse) ?

Running: 387.22-1 and MSI 970
Oh and Gsync issue was beacause i had enabled another display (derp)…

I played to the Museum when you meet the boss before the first extraction on Serious Sam 3 BFE Fusion on Vulkan and mostly highest settings.

Though i can say that i got xid 31 unrelated to this even when running xrender. So it seems that even if running xrender lowers the chance for me i still got it atleast once. ;(

I tried again yesterday and it reliably crashes when trying to enter the museum. I have the latest 384.x series driver installed and kerner 4.14 on opensuse tw.

Does the libvulkan version has any influence ? I am on 1.0.57 …

I got these XIDs:

[10243.204163] NVRM: Xid (PCI:0000:20:00): 32, Channel ID 00000033 intr 00040000
[10243.209135] NVRM: Xid (PCI:0000:20:00): 31, Ch 00000033, engmask 00000101, intr 50000000

I started SS Fusion 2017, configured for Vulkan, 3440x1440, everything set to ultra, played a bit
Serious Sam 2 HD, then quit.
Then restarted SS Fusion in Steam again, now it hangs at the loading screen (the loading graphic does not move) and these XIDs appeared. Driver 387.22, 1080ti.

It does not always reproduce with the 2nd start of SS fusion, but it will eventually.

Any news from Nvidia ?
