I have fired a support ticket last week with Auvidea in attempt to clarify a few questions on J120’s compatibility with TX2.
Today they did reply with answers (see below) and closed the ticket. I’m not sure what to make out of their answers thou… If anyone from Auvidea is reading this and can clarify it, it would be much appreciated.

Hello,
I’m interested in the J120 carrier board, but I’m having hard time to find any information on its compatibility. I’ve read “J120 technical reference manual”, but unfortunately it doesn’t mention TX2 nor the latest L4T R28.1 4.4…x linux kernel. I would like to understand what does work and what doesn’t work well when J120 is used with Jetson TX2 and the latest L4T R28.1 (linux 4.4 kernel). Would appreciate if you can provide more information on the following:
1. Do both USB3 ports work at USB3 speed? Are they both coming from Jetson module or a USB hub is used on the board?
2. Does M2 key M 2280 slot work?
3. Is there any way to control the fan speed? If so, how?
4. Can Raspberry Pi cameras v.1.x and v.2.x be used with the J120? Is so, do they require 22-to-15 pin adapter board? Are the proper camera drivers included in the Auvidea’s firmware?
5. Can camera from the TX2 dev kit be used with J120?
6. Is UART0 working as a serial console? Assuming I’ll buy J120 rev.3 or later – does UART2 work?
I would appreciate any information you can share or if you can point me to the right direction if it has been already documented.
Thanks!

See below thread for the progress: [url]Auvidea J120-IMU rev.7 carrier board - Jetson TX2 - NVIDIA Developer Forums
DevKit camera has a proprietary interface/connector and will not work with anything besides DevKit board.
