I’ve trying to use my system with the recent PRIME Syncronization, but the system would hang randomly from time to time. I was thinking it was a issue with the syncronization options, but as it turns out, the problem appears whenever using the Kernel Mode Setting (using the nvidia-drm.modeset=1 boot parameter), regardless if the PRIME Syncronization is enabled of not. Applications like chrome seem to be particularly prone to cause interface freezes.
Also, seems other people are having the same problems. I also get the freeze when reaching sddm:
I’ve attached the proper logs.
It would be nice to have a solution to this, as it is keeping me to use my discrete GPU properly and watch some 4k Planet Earth II. :)
