304.137 doesn't install in Ubuntu 18.04 (got removed from Ubuntu repositories)

Driver 304.137 doesn’t install and got removed - Bug #1748000 “Remove from the archive: this legacy driver is unm...” : Bugs : nvidia-graphics-drivers-304 package : Ubuntu

Please update it, so it would install on newer kernel versions. It’s the only driver that works correctly with my old, but still good, 7600 GT

Driver 304 has run out of support by end of last year, no further updates will be made by nvidia. Search this forum for user created patches for current kernels.
