P5000 crashing with Adobe Products

Having issues with Adobe crashing. Getting crash report Error Code 3 (subcode 2). Has happened with 391.33 and also previous version. Looked on other forum where a user suggested switching to “3D app- visual simulation” to resolve. Trying that and seeing if that helps.

Any suggestions?

Hi Dillon_115,

Could you re-install our 391.33 Quadro driver but selecting the ‘Custom (Advanced)’ during the install process:

  • Quadro Driver 391.33 for Windows 7 : http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/132518/en-us
  • Quadro Driver 391.33 for Windows 10 : http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/132520/en-us
  • Then Launch NVIDIA Driver Installer >> ‘Agree and Continue’
  • Select ‘Custom installation options
  • At the bottom, there is a check-box option to ‘Perform a clean installation’
  • Then click ‘Next’

Thanks,
Ryan Park

Hey Ryan,

I have done that multiple times. No help.

Hi Dillon_115,

Could you fill out a support ticket for internal investigation through this link:

Updated to 392.00 and still having same issue with base profile, if I change it to 3D App- Visual Simulation it works fine so far.

Ok good news, finally this problem can be fixed. To do so simply disable Deep Color within the application.

Unfortunately I don’t know how to do it from nvidia cpanel or from windows. So what I did was downloading nvidiaInspector from guru3d site. run nvidiaInspector and then click on driver profile settings.

find the premiere profile and not the main profile and there:
disable Deep Color within the application

Your premiere should now work without problem.

Hi everybody.

After one week of tests, tutorials, new and old drivers disinstallation and re-installation etc. I finally enter this discussion because none of the solutions I’ve found seem to work for me.

I’m running Windows 7 Pro SP1 64bit with a Quadro K4000M and I’m having looots of trouble with “NVIDIA windows kernel mode driver stopped responding and has recovered successfully”.

This happens randomly and even without using 3D/photo-editing/video-editing applications.
For example, recently the driver crashed when I opened the control panel, the Windows control panel.

More specifically, Blender exits when I try to render (GPU) or simply access render settings.
Houdini doesn’t even start.
Rhino crashes randomly.
PC doesn’t always shut down completely, simply hangs.

Is there any final solution to this problem?
Thank you all :)
