Unable to Play 4K HDR Videos and unable to install VLC 3

I’m unable to Play 4K HDR Videos and unable to install VLC 3.
Jetson TX1 : Aarch x64 architecture.

I tried to clone and build snap repository, it was also failed.
Please help with the solution.

Hi,
Please try gstreamer or tegra_multimedia_api.

Other solutions do not support HW acceleration of video decoding.

Hi DaneLLL,

Thank you for your input. It works.
It is possible to play 4K HDR video via gstreamer (gst-launch-1.0).

How do we get HDR played as HDR ?
(The display device is not detected it as HDR. It is just playing).
I think it is related to metadata, is there any pre-setting like setting Environment variables before playing HDR Videos?.

If you are looking for 10-bit color channels I don’t think you can do it.

Hi,
We support normal playback. HDR video playback is not supported.

Hi,

I could able to play Dolby Vision (one of the HDR format) videos.
But, i cannot play HDR videos.
Please suggest a method to achieve this.

On TX1, HDR video playback is not supported.
