how to downgrade DriveInstall?(Error : Installing Flash Tegra A 5.0.5.0 failed.)

I have now installed DriveInstall 5.0.10.3 version on my Drive PX2 but I need to downgrade to DriveInstall 5.0.5.0bL becuase of Drivework version.

I have already tried to install it several times with DriveInstall 5.0.5.0bL, but the following error will continue to occur while flashing.

Drive PX2 doesn’t turn on after flashing but recovery can be done by attempting Aurix firmware update with 4.02.02 version.

Is it impossible to downgrade DriveInstall?
Is there any function for factory reset on the Drive PX2?

Could you share your Host system details and steps you followed to reproduce this issue? Just to confirm do you see the same issue when you try flashing from another host?

Dear stillrunning,
Could you tell the host kernel version(uname -a)? Also, do you see success if you try flashing tegras individually?

Hi SivaRamaKrishna,
Thank you for answering.

In ubuntu 14.04, downgrade has just succeeded.
but I will try it again in ubuntu 16.04 and tell you result.

Thank you.

Dear SivaRamaKrishna,

DriveInstall version of Drive PX2 is 5.0.5.0b(It’s reinstalled by other Host PC which is ubuntu 14.04 ), and the version I was trying to reinstall from the host PC was version .0.5.0b, so this isn’t downgrade issue.

I can solve this problem with a other host PC(Ubuntu 14.04), but I would appreciate it if you could provide solution for this problem to people who face the same problem.

Dear stillrunningf77hc,
The issue could be with linux kernel version. We have seen this flashing issue with our AGX platform as well. W are working for a fix now to support latest kernel versions. Can you downgrade your Linux host kernel to lower version (ex. linux 4.15.0-32) and check installing.

I understood.
Thanks SivaRamaKrishna!

Hello all,

Did the kernel downgrade help to acheive a successful flash ?

Thanks

Hi aburhanu,
if the meaning of “kernel downgrade” is that using Ubuntu 14.04,
I successed flash with DriveInstall 5.0.5.0bL_SDK_b3.
