Hi Bobka,

Are you connect micro-usb to host via usb hub?
If yes, please try to connect usb port directly or try another usb port and usb cable.
Thanks!

Hi carolyuu! Please close this topic.

[solved] Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is running on my notebook with VMware Workstation 15 Player and Windows 10.
Several posts state that “Using a VM [for flushing] is not supported.”
This gave me a glue how to fix the issue with following changes in VMware Player settings:

  1. Player >File >Preferences… >USB
When a new device is detected, VMware Player should:
    (o) Connect the device to the running virtual machine
  2. Player >Manage> Virtual Machine Settings… >Hardware >USB Controller >USB compatibility: USB 2.0
