Kernel can not bootup when connect the HDMI dispaly during the operating system boot process.

On our design carrier board DP2 is connected to the HDMI type-A connector(P2) (same as dev kit). This port works fine under any circumstances…
And the DP1 is designed to connect second HDMI type-A connector(P1). This port work fine if connect the HDMI dispaly after OS into desktop.
But it appears to fault when trying to read EDID parameters from the HDMI port if connect the HDMI dispaly during the operating system boot process.
It work in L4T 32.1 .

I also wonder one of your statement here: “This port work fine if connect the HDMI display after OS into desktop.” So the i2c transfer(tegra_edid_read_block) would work if you hotplug the device later?

The i2c transfer can not to work also when I hotplug the device.
The “tegra-i2c 3190000.i2c: no acknowledge from address 0x50” will print to log.
But the device can be display as low size.

Could you check the value of below register? It is the pinmux setting.

You could keep the extcon setting there. Only the “nvidia,typec-port” needs to be deleted.
The script should be inside Linux_for_Tegra/bootloader. Please search under it.

I think ‘DP_AUX_CH*_HPD’ maybe is ok.I guess the setting of I2C bus(DP_AUX_CH1_P/N) may have problems.
