Artefacts after sleeping (very-very old issue, again)

Hello. I’m going to create a new topic with very old issue: the artefacts after waking up.

I noted that it was fixed in drievr v396, but I still have artefacts in v430 (currently recommended).
I tested it in Kubuntu 18.04 and KDE nenon distros.
I tried drivers v430, v396 and v390 (current version from Ubuntu’s repo) on clean linux installations.
Early I watched that bug in Linux Mint 18.3 (Mate, based on Gtk).

I’m watching that behavior for:

here is information about my GPU:

(currently I returned back to driver version from official repo, because I don’t see any difference between newest version from PPA and older from official repo)

nouveau driver haven’t that problems.

What I’m doing wrong?
Any ideas?

Thanks!

thank you!
I posted my result in that topic.

Can you read?

generix has posted a solution which works. Use it.

Actually problem was solved in plasma 5.17 and Qt 5.13
And all nvidia drivers works fine “out of the box” without any additional manipulations.

Plasma 5.18 was released today: https://kde.org/announcements/plasma/5/5.18.0/
It promises fixing various visual glitches.

I’d say based on r3d9u11’s comment, the issue should be fixed in the latest release too. Too bad I’m on Kubuntu 18.04 and have to wait a while for the latest version of Plasma to be available.

VT switching for anything gpu intensive non-kde related is still broken for similar reasons.
Nvidia can’t expect everyone to make workarounds for their bugged and obsolete driver.
