I have just purchased a Quadro 4000 Mac for the following system:
Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro3,1
Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz
Number of Processors: 2
Total Number of Cores: 8
L2 Cache (per Processor): 12 MB
Memory: 16 GB
Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz
System Version: Mac OS X 10.7.2 (11C74)
Have just done a clean install of Lion and the latest CUDA driver (see screen shot) but the card is not being recognised properly. System profiler returns the following information on the Video Card and nothing else:
The card itself has a green light powering up okay and judging by the above information is being recognised in PCI slot yet there is no signal coming out of the card whatsoever.
I’ve looked through those threads and nothing seems to point to the problem. I’ve also been in touch with someone from nVidia who never got back to me with a solution.
Same problem-- my Quadro 4000 is recognized by the Mac as a “GF100” card. That means that DaVinci Resolve does not recognize it (although there is a kludge in Resolve to work around lack of recognized GPU) nor does PremierePro CS5.5 recognize it for Mercury Playback Engine.
