X hangs when resuming from suspend (Ubuntu 13.04, 319.23)

When resuming from suspend, X hangs at 100% CPU usage and has to be killed. This only seems to happen if the computer has been suspended for a reasonably long time; anything less than a quarter of an hour will usually resume successfully.

The only indication I can find of a problem in the log file is this:

I am not able to reproduce this issue with GPU GeForce GTX 660 (GK106) + Ubuntu 13.04 x86_64

You probably also have XID errors (in dmesg/kernel.log/messages.log) - please show them.
