I got problem of cursor stop working and touch-pad problem in my PC using ubuntu 14.04 OS ,I was reading into different site how to solve this problems, many of them they suggest to use $ sudo apt-get install nvidia-current then
$ sudo reboot.my question how NVIDIA drive solve this.
