ERROR - nvidia codeworks for Android 1R4 - "The manifest file is broken"

While trying to install “CodeWorks for Android 1R4”, I get the following error - “The manifest file is broken” while the NVIDIA CodeWorks for Android Component Manager is open. I am using a Dell Precision M4800 laptop with Windows 7 64bit.

I navigated to the manifest.json file located in “C:\NVIDIA\CodeWorksforAndroid” and here is the content of the json file (it looks incomplete)…

Has anyone else ran into this issue? Is there a manifest json file somewhere that I can copy and use? Or is there so other type of solution?

First sorry for the late reply. You can delete the C:\NVIDIA\CodeWorksforAndroid\manifest.json and then retry. If still not help. Please do the following steps as a walk around.

1. Get the manifest from the http://developer.download.nvidia.com/devzone/devcenter/mobile/naw100/json/windows/manifest.json
2. Copy the manifest.json to your install directory eg:C:\NVPACK\local.manifest
3. Relaunch the installer and install directory choose C:\NVPACK. Then it will be work fine now.

i get the same error message with 1R5…
all solutions provided above wont work…

any other ideas…?

I am getting the same error, I tried the solutions that you suggested and it still gives me the same error. I don’t know if it is relevant but in the launcher.log and the codeworks.log it says that it is unable to read the local.cfg then errno = 2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m installing ‘CodeWorksForAndroid 1R14’ and CodeWorksForAndroid 1R15’.

In both cases, I’m getting “The manifest file is broken” error.

I am Installing it as part of UNREAL engine on my Mac.

Please suggest me a solution for this.
