I have updated the nvidia driver from version 375.39 to 378.09.
Now the pc won’t poweroff when hibernating after successfully saving memory to disk (resume works).
Normal shutdown and reboot works.
Besides the nvidia driver nothing else was updated.
Linux kernel version is 4.9.11 in both test cases.
GPU is a GTX 770.

I’m also running into the same problem. I’ve verified that it is the nvidia drivers by rolling back to 375, and successfully hibernating. I would use 375, if it weren’t for another bug where upon resuming from hibernation, all my windows have a white border around them. I’m hoping the hibernation problem is a simpler fix, and am currently using 378.
